Winning the election information war depends on us
Some important Apple and Google news along with all the usual. It is not a secret that misinformation, disinformation and mal-information is the tool that our enemies use to deceive and divide voters in the US. You might say what’s new. Technology. And it makes it worse than before. Don’t forget, technology today is still a fairly new thing. The sentiments among Americans have never been worse. The only way to win this war is not only by fighting back but also by telling ourselves to not buy into them, as much as we are tempted to.

🤷♀️ What now?
Technology definitely makes this an unprecedented influence of misinformation, disinformation and mal-information on people.
As if all the platforms made possible by technology isn’t rough enough, AI has to step it to make it an even tougher terrain to tread. If something seems too ridiculous to believe, make sure you verify them. Make use to fact checking services and donate to them. |
🔥 Hot Tip: Don’t be too quick to believe news that make you feel vindicated. Check to see if other outlets are making the same report. If necessary, look up fact checking sources.
There seems to be an inordinate amount of news in Headline Highlights today. It was quite unexpected as news during this time of the year is usually only ramping up. Hope next week’s dump is not as big as this week’s. However, don’t forget that Headline Highlights is what we have filtered out news we think is not relevant to our target audience.
This ”season” of HX Weekly ends in September (3 quarters) and we will mark the new chapter in October with a different colored header. We will try not to make too many changes but we think we are at the point of maturity with HX Weekly.
