QR code sticker shock!!! Mama mia, here we go again!
More QR codes? Yup! Just a bit too many QR code stories this week that we simply can’t pass it by. If it feels fishy, don’t get phished. Think you got pwned? Check out this payment services provider. SCAM HOT TIP: Whenever transacting big amounts as a business owner especially with new clients, always make it on your terms. If the client truly desires your goods or services, they will make it happen. If necessary, break up big payments into many different smaller payments.

Glossary/Legend:
Cyber Attackers and Cyber Predators - these terms refer to people who use any kind of technology, including cell phones, to prey on us.
Ransomware - a type of malicious software designed to block access to a computer system until a sum of money is paid.
Mal-information - is a controversial term for information which is based on fact, but removed from its original context in order to mislead, harm, or manipulate.
QR code, or Quick Response code - is a two-dimensional barcode that can be scanned with a smartphone's camera to access information.
Pwned - The word "pwned" has origins in video game culture and is a leetspeak derivation of the word "owned", due to the proximity of the "o" and "p" keys. It's typically used to imply that someone has been controlled or compromised, for example "I was pwned in the Adobe data breach".
Social engineering - a manipulation technique that exploits human error to gain private information, access, or valuables.
