🤷♀️ What now?
Are we less vulnerable?
Even though the city of Flint was successfully attacked by ransomware, it seems like the message is going through as we see fewer victims making payments. But threat actors are making more - which could also be the reason why they are currently attacking less.
We are not exactly sure why there have been fewer successful ransomware attacks lately but there are several possible reasons, including people not reporting them. However, home and small business attacks are still not officially recorded. If you’re reading this, tell people that you know to never pay ransom or any kind of suspicious payments online. That will only enable more incidents to occur. And then tell them to subscribe to HX Weekly. |
