Biden Administration Forms AI Safety Institute Consortium (AISIC)

The goal of the consortium is to advance the development and deployment of safe, trustworthy AI.

Formed on February 6, the U.S. AI Safety Institute Consortium (AISIC), will unite AI creators and users, academics, government and industry researchers, and civil society organizations in support of the development and deployment of safe and trustworthy artificial intelligence.

The consortium will be housed under the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) U.S. AI Safety Institute and will include more than 200 leading AI stakeholders.

    • Exploring methods for watermarking synthetic content like deepfakes to identify their origin.
