Do you know that as shopping season continues, so do the cyber attacks?
Let’s be honest, did you really think that the cyber threat actors will wait for you to finish shopping before they launch their attacks on you? Attacks of all kinds are ramping up this season and it’s not just on shoppers. Don’t get victimized. Get your passwords and account access straighten up. Call Hexagon Center for help, if necessary. As we are enjoying the festivities of the season, other people are enjoying hacking into our personal lives. As long as we make it easy for them to do it, they will keep doing it and they will tell others to join them in their efforts. So it only takes you to make it difficult, but they have to face incessant difficulties before they will quit. We can help them to quit immediately.

Glossary/Legend:

Data broker - A business that knowingly collects and sells or licenses personal information about consumers to third parties without having a direct relationship with them.
Cyberattack is a malicious attempt to gain unauthorized access to a computer system, network, or device. The goal of a cyberattack is to disrupt or damage the target, or to steal data, intellectual property, or money.
Ransomware - A type of malware that locks or encrypts a victim's files and demands a ransom payment to unlock and decrypt them. Ransomware can infect a variety of devices, including computers, smartphones, printers, and more.
